How to get a PSA birth certificate online for a job
The two official ways to order online, the walk-in route, what each costs and how long delivery takes, from PSA's own pages and channels.

PSA's birth certificate page lists two ways to order on the web, PSAHelpline (psahelpline.ph) and PSA Serbilis (psaserbilis.com.ph), and a walk-in route at a PSA outlet with an appointment. Here's each one, what it costs and how long it takes, read on 7 October 2026.
First job? Section 4 of the First Time Jobseekers Assistance Act (RA 11261) waives the fee on your birth certificate, once. See the first time job seeker certificate guide.
Online or walk-in: which one to pick
- PSAHelpline: P365 a copy with delivery included, its FAQ says. In Metro Manila it arrives the day after PSA releases it; elsewhere, in 3 to 8 working days.
- PSA Serbilis: P330 for the first copy and P50 less for each extra copy, delivered in the Philippines or picked up at an LBC branch. Metro Manila and nearby provinces get it the day after PSA releases it; other provinces, 6 to 8 working days after payment.
- Walk-in at a PSA outlet: P155 a copy, PSAHelpline's walk-in guide says. You book an appointment online first, and you pay cash at the outlet.
Ordering online means no trip to an outlet. Walk-in costs the least per copy, and PSAHelpline suggests it if you need the certificate the same day.
How to get a PSA birth certificate online
These are PSAHelpline's steps:
- Start an order on psahelpline.ph. Enter your sex, your legal name, your birthday, your contact details and the ID you'll show on delivery.
- Choose the purpose, your delivery address, how many copies, and whether you or a representative will receive it.
- Check the details, submit and pay right away, as PSAHelpline asks. You get a reference number to pay with GCash, Maya, a Visa or Mastercard card, 7-Eleven, Bayad and other channels.
- Track it with your 10-digit reference number under Check Status.
- Show a valid ID to the courier. The name on it must match your order.
Have these ready: your full name as it's written on your birth record, your date and place of birth, both parents' names, a government ID that matches, a mobile number and email you check, and an address where you can receive the delivery.
You must be 18 or older to order your own. Parents or a legal guardian order for a minor.
How to get it walk-in
- Book a free appointment on PSA's appointment system (appointment.psa.gov.ph), choosing the date, time and outlet.
- Arrive 30 minutes early with your appointment slip and valid IDs that match the names you entered.
- Get an application form and a queue number, then hand them in with the fee at the window.
- Come back to the releasing area on the release date with your official receipt and IDs.
PSA's list of valid IDs includes the PhilID, passport, driver's license, PRC ID, UMID, Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card, voter's ID, postal ID, NBI clearance, police clearance, and a barangay ID or certification with your picture and signature, among others.
Common mistakes to avoid when you order online
- A typo in your name, birthday or parents' names. PSAHelpline warns that "what you input is exactly what PSA will search for."
- An ID that doesn't match the certificate. The courier checks it.
- Nobody home on delivery day. Name a representative through the online Letter of Authorization when you order. PSAHelpline says its couriers don't accept handwritten letters.
- An unofficial site. PSA's birth certificate page links only PSAHelpline and PSA Serbilis for web orders, and PSAHelpline tells walk-in applicants to deal with "authorized PSA personnel only".
Does a PSA birth certificate expire?
No. PSAHelpline says PSA birth certificates "have no expiration date". It adds that the DFA and embassies want a copy no older than six months, so ask your employer how recent theirs should be.
If PSA can't find your record, you get a Negative Certification instead. PSAHelpline says to check with the Local Civil Registrar where your birth was registered.
Next: your clearances
The NBI accepts a PSA birth certificate as one of your two IDs, its how-to page says. See our NBI clearance guide and the job requirements checklist, then find a remote day shift job. Applying is free.
