What the interview asks
How do you keep track of many shipments at once? Describe a simple system, like a tracking sheet you update every day.
What would you do if a delivery arrived late or damaged? Say you would check the cause, tell the customer early and work out a fix with the carrier.
Can you work under pressure when deadlines are tight? Give a real example of how you stayed organized and kept people updated.
How comfortable are you with Excel and logistics paperwork? Be honest and name what you have used, like formulas, filters or invoices.
Most posts ask for at least a senior high school diploma, and many prefer a college degree in business, supply chain or a related course.
Prepare a resume, a valid ID, NBI clearance and your government numbers: SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG and TIN.
Apply online or through the career pages of logistics and manufacturing companies.
Expect an interview and sometimes a short Excel or basic English test.
What the work is like
Most of the day is spent at a desk, on the phone and in messages, with some time on the warehouse floor. The hard part is a delay you can't control, because you still have to keep customers calm.
Questions
Do I need experience to work as a logistics coordinator?
Not always. Many companies hire fresh graduates and train them, especially if you know Excel and communicate well.
What should I study to become a logistics coordinator?
Business, supply chain, operations or industrial courses help. Skills in Excel and organizing records matter as much as the course.
Is logistics coordinator work done in an office or a warehouse?
Usually both. You do paperwork and follow-ups at a desk, and you check shipments in the warehouse when needed.
