A resume objective you can adapt

Senior high school graduate looking for a room attendant job, ready to work rotating shifts and keep every room clean, neat and ready for guests.

Skills employers ask for

What the interview asks

  1. Why do you want to work as a room attendant? Say you like keeping places clean and working in a hotel, and give one real reason.
  2. Can you work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays? Answer honestly, because the housekeeping roster depends on it.
  3. What would you do if you found a guest's wallet or phone in a room? Leave it untouched, report it to your supervisor right away and follow the lost and found process.
  4. How do you clean a room fast without missing anything? Describe your order, such as bed, bathroom, dusting, then floor, and checking at the end.

What the work is like

You're on your feet and moving all shift, pushing a cart, lifting and bending. Shifts rotate, and busy check-out days are the hardest part.
