What to put in each part of your teacher resume
Objective
One sentence on the job you want and what you bring. If it fits you, adapt this one: Licensed professional teacher looking for a teaching job where I can plan clear lessons, support every learner and work closely with parents and fellow teachers.
Licence and certificates
Your PRC licence and its number, right under your objective. Professional teachers are licensed by the PRC: you pass the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers.
Skills
Four or five the job post asks for and you've really used, like explaining lessons clearly to different kinds of learners, or planning lessons and managing class time.
Work experience
Newest job first. Under each one, three to five lines that start with what you did, with a number where you can: classes, learners and subjects.
Education
Your school, what you finished and the year. Fresh graduate? Put it above work experience.
How to write your teacher resume: fill in this template
Replace every line in [brackets]. Delete a section you can't fill.
Put your PRC licence near the top, under your objective.
Keep it to one page if you've worked under five years.

How to write a teacher resume without experience
No teaching job yet? Put your education first, then your practice teaching where work experience would go: the school, the grade and the subjects you taught. Tutoring and Sunday school count too, so say where.
Duties and skills to add to your teacher resume
The sample uses lines from the teacher job description. Pick the ones you've really done, and find the rest there. See the full teacher duties
Teacher resume questions
Where does my PRC licence go on a teacher resume?
Right under your objective, so it's the first thing a school sees. Write the licence, its number and the month you passed the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers.
What do I write if I haven't passed the licensure exam yet?
Leave the licence lines off and lead with your education and practice teaching. Tutoring centers and some schools hire part-time teachers, so you can apply there while you prepare.
Should I put my birthday or a photo on it?
Leave your birthday off. Since 2016, Republic Act 10911 has made it unlawful for employers in the Philippines to require your age or birth date while you apply. Leave the photo off too, unless the job post asks for one.
Should I send it as a PDF or a Word file?
PDF, unless the job post asks for Word. A PDF looks the same on every screen. Put your name in the file name, like Liza-Montemayor-Resume.pdf.
