Here's each step, plus how to find a number you've forgotten, from Pag-IBIG Fund's own pages, read on 7 October 2026.

How to get your Pag-IBIG MID number online

  1. Go to Virtual Pag-IBIG, which Pag-IBIG's membership page links to at pagibigfundservices.com/virtualpagibig, and click Be A Member, then Register.
  2. Enter your first name, middle name, last name and birth date. Pag-IBIG asks you to make sure they "match exactly with the information on your Birth Certificate".
  3. Fill in the rest of the online form and click Submit.
  4. Save the Registration Tracking Number (RTN) that appears, since it's what you'll use to check your MID number later.

Your birth certificate is the record to copy from. If you don't have a PSA copy at home, our PSA birth certificate guide shows how to order one online.

How to check your MID number after you register

Pag-IBIG says to wait two to three working days after you get your RTN. Then go back to Virtual Pag-IBIG, click Be A Member and choose Verify MID Number. Enter your RTN, your last name and your date of birth, and click Submit.

Pag-IBIG's page says the number that shows is your permanent MID number. Give that one to your employer, since the RTN only tracks your registration.

Forgot your Pag-IBIG MID number? Three ways to get it back

Pag-IBIG's membership page lists three:

The IDs Pag-IBIG lists include your National ID, passport, driver's license, PRC ID, NBI clearance, police clearance, postal ID, voter's ID, TIN ID, SSS card and PhilHealth Health Insurance Card ng Bayan. Pag-IBIG says digital IDs count only when they come from the official government website or app and you show them yourself.

Two Pag-IBIG records? How to merge them

If you registered twice, ask Pag-IBIG to merge the records into one. At any Pag-IBIG branch, hand in a filled-in Request for Consolidation/Merging of Member's Records (RCMMR) with one valid ID and a photocopy of your SSS Employment History, and keep the acknowledgment receipt they give you. Pag-IBIG says merging takes 15 to 20 working days, and it sends an SMS or email when it's done.

What your employer does with your MID number

Your MID number is how your monthly Pag-IBIG savings reach your record. When you're an employee, your employer registers you and sends in those savings. Pag-IBIG's FAQ, written in Filipino, says that by law an employer that refuses or fails to register a member, or to collect and remit the monthly savings on time, faces fines and penalties. It says you can report an employer at any Pag-IBIG office, on 8-724-4244, or by email to contactus@pagibigfund.gov.ph.

Next: the rest of your requirements

Your MID number is one document on the list, and our checklist of pre-employment requirements covers the rest. The other two government numbers have guides of their own: your SSS number and your PhilHealth number. When your papers are ready, find a remote day shift job. It's free to apply.
