What to put in each part of your doctor resume
Objective
One sentence on the job you want and what you bring. If it fits you, adapt this one: Licensed physician looking for a clinic or hospital post, ready to take rotating shifts and give patients careful, clear and kind care.
Licence and certificates
Your PRC licence and its number, right under your objective. Practising as a doctor needs a PRC licence: pass the Physicians Licensure Examination, which asks for a Doctor of Medicine degree and a post-graduate internship.
Skills
Four or five the job post asks for and you've really used, like clear diagnosis and sound clinical judgment, or explaining medical advice in plain English and Filipino.
Work experience
Newest job first. Under each one, three to five lines that start with what you did, with a number where you can: patients, tests and shifts.
Education
Your school, what you finished and the year. Fresh graduate? Put it above work experience.
How to write your doctor resume: fill in this template
Replace every line in [brackets]. Delete a section you can't fill.
Put your PRC licence near the top, under your objective.
Keep it to one page if you've worked under five years.

How to write a doctor resume without experience
No doctor job yet? Put your education first, then your post-graduate internship where work experience would go: the hospital, the departments and the cases you handled. Residency and clinic volunteer work count too, so say where.

Doctor resume questions
Where does my PRC licence go on a doctor resume?
Right under your objective, so it's the first thing a hospital sees. Write the licence, its number and the month you passed the Physicians Licensure Examination.
What do I write if I haven't passed the licensure exam yet?
Practising as a doctor needs a PRC licence, so most doctor posts want it first. Until you pass the Physicians Licensure Examination, lead with your Doctor of Medicine degree and your internship, and write the month you'll take the exam.
Should I put my birthday or a photo on it?
Leave your birthday off. Since 2016, Republic Act 10911 has made it unlawful for employers in the Philippines to require your age or birth date while you apply. Leave the photo off too, unless the job post asks for one.
Should I send it as a PDF or a Word file?
PDF, unless the job post asks for Word. A PDF looks the same on every screen. Put your name in the file name, like Carmela-Rivera-Resume.pdf.
